Lisa Marie Presley, the celebrated musician and daughter of Elvis Presley, has passed away at the age of 54.

According to Variety, on Thursday, January 12th, emergency services were called to Presley’s home in Calabasas, California after she suffered a cardiac arrest. Despite the paramedics performing CPR, she was unable to be resuscitated and ultimately passed away shortly after.

The Presley family expressed their immense shock and sadness at the passing of Lisa Marie. They have expressed their deep appreciation for the outpouring of support, love, and prayers from everyone. At this time, the family is respectfully requesting privacy.

Lisa Marie and Priscilla attended the 80th Golden Globe awards and witnessed Austin Butler receive the prize for his depiction of Elvis in the 2022 movie. In celebration of what would have been Elvis' 88th birthday, they also attended a pre-Globes celebration.

Lisa Marie expressed her deep enthusiasm for the movie and Austin’s work, saying she felt certain her father would also be quite proud.

Lisa Marie Presley, who arrived in the world on February 1, 1968 in Memphis, Tennessee, was the only offspring of Elvis and Priscilla Presley. Sadly, they ended their marriage when Lisa Marie was five, and tragically, Elvis passed away when she was just nine.

At 25, she came into possession of the full inheritance from Elvis Presley, and this included her father’s property, Graceland. In 2005, she parted with the majority (85%) of the inheritance, which altogether was calculated to about $100 million, to Industrial Media, yet still kept grasp of Graceland.

She inherited her father’s musical abilities, and in 2003 put them to use as a singer-songwriter with the release of her debut album, To Whom It May Concern. Certified gold, this was followed by Now What and Storm & Grace.

Lisa had been married four times to Danny Keough, Michael Jackson, Nicolas Cage, and Michael Lockwood, and her four descendants included her daughter, Riley Keough, who had notable roles in several movies such as Zola, The Devil All the Time, and Mad Max: Fury Road. Sadly in 2020, her son Benjamin Keough passed away due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Lisa was heavily committed to philanthropic activity with the Elvis Presley Beneficial Society, Oprah Winfrey’s Divine Organization, and the Imagination Centre.

Priscilla has survived her, as have her three daughters and her half-brother Navarone Garibaldi.
