The Day Before, which has been highly in demand on Steam, is scheduled to release on the first of March but details surrounding the game are still largely a mystery.

You might not recall The Day Before at this stage. It became public knowledge in early 2021, as a large scale MMO survival game. Then, a 10-minute gameplay video was revealed in April 2021. However, nothing of consequence has been communicated about the title since then.

It looks like the tide is about to turn in terms of what we know about The Day Before, as developer Fntastic has revealed that they will be releasing actual gameplay footage of the game this month.

We are delighted to finally relay the news that you have all been patiently waiting for regarding the release of our game! After discussing with our leadership team, we are now able to give the information you have highly anticipated.

This month, we will be granting our fans' requests by publishing raw game play recordings. These recordings will present most of the features and play elements desired by the community, allowing everyone a clear look at how far we have progressed in developing The Day Before.

It’s not extremely unusual for a studio to be silent while they’re developing a game. However, Steam says The Day Before is scheduled to be released on the 1st of March, which is only a bit over a month away. That makes it strange that it took so much time and thought to come to a decision regarding the presentation of the game to the public. Doesn’t that seem odd?

Before The Day Before, Fantastic released The Wild Game, which caused Chris to consume his own corpse to sustain his life. Furthermore, it has been highly anticipated on second rank in the top wishlists chart of Steam only being superseded by Hogwarts Legacy. Maybe this stillness was a strategical move, which although peculiar to me, appears to have been beneficial, based on the attention it has earned on Steam.

We will absolutely be paying attention to any footage from the game, and any news that follows. Meanwhile, I have contacted Fntastic to inquire as to why they have not been more forthcoming about the launch date given its proximity, and I will let you know if I get a response.
