It has been declared by developer Game Science that Black Myth: Wukong will be released in the summer of 2024. A short video featuring brief snippets from the game was shared, implying that avid gamers may need to upgrade their computer in order to experience this modernized interpretation of a Chinese traditional tale.
It’s been a few months since People Can Fly spoke about their upcoming production, Black Myth: Wukong. As the studio usually updates fans twice a year, the Chinese New Year is a suitable moment to remind everyone about the game and announce its debut. According to the official website, the game should appear sometime in Summer 2024. This is a long wait, but hopefully it’s bearable for admirers. Also, it looks like the game will be available on PC and the main current-gen console platforms, most likely the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
A stop-motion short film was released which stars a gamer bunny who is eager to play Black Myth: Wukong, however he is having a difficult time. He needs to upgrade his gaming machine for the Unreal Engine 5-powered title and unfortunately, it is still a few years away from launch. Check out the video for new shots of the games gameplay.
Black Myth was originally released in August 2020, with a 13-minute pre-alpha gameplay that immediately caught the attention of many. The authenticity of the video is yet to be ascertained, but Game Scientist never fails to make an impact with every fresh demo. The title is predicted to be in progress for five years by the summer of 2021, thus suggesting Black Myth: Wukong will likely live up to expectations.
