An actor from Quantum Break shared enthusiasm for being part of a potential sequel to the sci-fi action-adventure title, should it ever become a reality. It has been nearly five years since the original version dropped in 2016 and fans have been eagerly anticipating a new installment of the series.

Remedy Entertainment, the developer of the acclaimed Quantum Break series, is also behind other popular titles such as Max Payne, Control, and Alan Wake. As they turn their attention to sequels for Alan Wake and Control, gamers are eager to hear whether a follow up to Quantum Break is also in the works.

Shawn Ashmore, the actor who portrays Jack Joyce in the game Quantum Break, voiced his enthusiasm for joining a potential sequel if Remedy green-lit the project. Responding to JezCorden’s tweet, Ashmore said he was ‘in!’ Quantum Break was a commercial success that emphasized its time-manipulation components and contained an in-game, live-action TV program that displayed the results of gameplayers' choices. The show boasted a A-list cast, which featured the likes of Aidan Gillen, Lance Reddick and many more renowned Hollywood stars, and Ashmore was part of this line-up.

Ashmores comment drew attention from Sam Lake of Remedy Entertainment, and Lake expressed his approval with a heart emoji tweet. Lake was the creative director and executive producer of Quantum Break, so if he supports it, this project could become a reality.

Sam Lake is currently deeply engaged in developing Alan Wake 2 and, with it taken eleven years for the project to be confirmed, a follow-up to Quantum Break wouldn’t be impossible. Remedy Entertainment has many other spectacular titles in the pipeline, and if they could assign a team to it, many fans would be ecstatic.

It’s been quite a while since a game similar to Quantum Break has been released, with Control and Alan Wake Remastered being the two that most closely align. However, none of them possess the live-action show approach that Quantum Break used in its design. The concept behind Quantum Break was that it was the first stage of a series, making it the first season. Whether the creator Sam Lake decides to take the project further is yet to be seen, and lies in the hands of the Remedy team. If it does come to fruition, fans of Microsoft and Xbox will be incredibly excited.

Quantum Break can be downloaded or purchased on PC or Xbox One, or played on Xbox Series X/S with backward compatibility.
